Infolane Settles Into its New, Old Oakland Offices
Last April, Infolane relocated its offices to 725 Washington Street. That's still in downtown Oakland, about ten blocks from where we were before. Since then, we have settled into the new digs nicely. Our conference room is equipped with a big screen monitor and has served us well with client meetings and training sessions. At first I felt like we were stepping down from our previous address in a highrise, I don't feel that way any more. Our new office is located in a 19th century, beautifully restored, 3-story structure. Lawyers and Business Consultants are our neighbors in the building. The district is called Old Oakland and there are numerous 19th-century buildings in the area. It is beautiful today, although I can remember when area was this was the worst of skid row. Good job, Oakland! Parking nearby, while not free, is a breeze. Nearby, there are many quaint restaurants to choose from. Not to mention, Chinatown is just two blocks away! How to Weather a Recession - Cut costs before you are forced to do soCutting expenses early was a good move for us. This recessions is almost over and we will leave it stronger than we came in.
