Northstar-at-Tahoe is located off of state highway 267, six miles from Lake Tahoe and six miles from the historic town of Truckee. All roads in Northstar are county roads and, as such, are plowed during the winter season. The Northstar gas station is open 24/7 for credit card users.

Getting to the Tahoe-Truckee Area

From the San Francisco Bay Area use your state map to navigate yourself onto Interstate 80 East. You leave the Central Valley and enter the Sierra Nevada foothills at the town of Placerville. Winter driving conditions on I-80 over the Donner summit can be rigorous. You should always carry chains, and check out road conditions on the Internet before you travel.

Proceed on I-80 all the way to Truckee, and exit at Hwy 267. Travel south six miles to Northstar-at-Tahoe resort.

Finding Our Condo

Our Condo is located in Indian Hills at Northstar-at-Tahoe.

• From highway 267 you enter the resort on Northstar Drive. Continue on Northstar Drive, past the fire station.
• Make a right onto Big Springs Drive.
• Make another right onto Martis Landing, which is the first street on your right.
• Make a left onto Indian Hills Drive, which is the first street on your left. (Note: Indian Hills Drive is sheltered by huge pine trees so preceed slowly in order to locate it.)
• Continue on Indian Hills Drive to the end and go halfway round the circle.
• Exit the circle, bear left onto Rocky Point and continue into the parking lot.
• Park near the end of the parking lot.
• Our condo is an end unit located on the far right side in the second building on the left. As you will quickly find out, our condo is located at the crest of the mountain with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.
