We've listed some of our favorite places for dining, with a mix of casual and fine dining. The Truckee restaurants are easily accessible year round. The ones around Lake Tahoe can be difficult to reach in the winter, depending upon the road conditions. In the winter, traveling over Brockway Summit (7200 ft. elevation) on highway 267 can be difficult (if not impossible) in bad weather. So - consider planning your restaurant destination with the weather in mind! Some restaurants offer outdoor dining, weather permitting.
It's always a good idea to see if reservations are possible. If not, be prepared to wait during busy times!

- Lanza's Restaurant
7739 North Lake Blvd., Kings Beach 530.546.2434Located just east of Safeway, Lanza's has been voted #1 Italian restaurant for the past 10 years in the North Shore Readers' Poll. Their family style Italian food is delicious! The wait is worth it.
- Los Altos Restaurant
11367 Deerfield Dr., Truckee 530.587.7872You'll enjoy authentic Mexican food in this restaurant, located in the Albertson's Shopping Center. Try some of the different salsas!
- Pizza Junction
11401 Donner Pass Road, Truckee 530.587.7411Located about a block west of Safeway and on the south side of the road - you'll see a railroad boxcar in front. Great pizza and a great local favorite!
- Ponderosa Deli
10068 Donner Pass Road, Truckee 530.587.3555This is a great place to get a sandwich and homemade soup during the day. The Deli is located in Truckee's main shopping area, across the street from the railroad station.

Northstar Village 530.562.2250A great choice for California cuisine and prime rib. When it's snowing or the roads are closed, this restaurant will be easy to get to in the Northstar Village.
